Reminder that tonight is Tri it for free, duo it for fun at 6pm at Hiniker. This is a mini/practice tri and duo format for training purposes. This may be the last session of the season, so if you want to get one in before Irongirl, tonight is your opportunity! See you there!

The ALL NEW Mankato River Ramble will embrace the best of both bicycling worlds - off-road paved trails and quiet country roads. The 12-mile Minneopa Falls Loop visits the state park and can be extended two miles to visit the historic Red Jacket Railroad Trestle. Riders seeking a greater challenge will love the Lake Crystal Loop that visits the handsome hamlets of Rapidan, Lake Crystal and Judson.
This is a beautiful 12, 42 or 54 mile looped bike tour with music, food and family fun! The 12 mile loop is CLOSED TO TRAFFIC so you can bring the kids! This is going to be the biggest bike ride that the mankato area has seen, so make sure you are a part of it.

We will ride to Indian Island Winery near Janesville & enjoy the annual ‘Grape Stomp’, music, wine & food! Festivities info:

Just signed up for the Minneapolis Duathlon! Who's in???
Just signed up for the Minneapolis Duathlon! Who's in???
The Minneapolis Duathlon is a 3-mile run, 18-mile bike and 3-mile run from downtown Minneapolis along the Mississippi River and back.
The run course begins on 3rd Avenue South, goes across the river and back down Main Street, returns on the Stone Arch Bridge and goes north on West River Parkway on a brief "out and back" to finish up your run. This is the same run course you do for the other run leg.
The bike course takes out out on 2nd Street, eventually to West River Parkway where you travel down to the main turnaround at Mile 10, (Please note that there is another small turnaround also at Mile 8). The course takes you back up to 2nd street to the bike dismount area near the transition.

Chi running clinic
Chi running clinic
Looking for suggestions for where to hold the Chi running clinic on Sunday, 9/18. We need space indoors for 12 students and a place to run outside. We still have some slots left (see mankatomultisport.com for details). The class doesn't involve a lot running (never more than about 1/4 mile at a time), so don't worry if you aren't up for lots of mileage!

Hey club members! We've got a chi running clinic coming to Mankato Sept 18th! If you're looking to run faster, with less effort and fewer injuries, then you should check this out! Limited to 12 slots and 1 is already taken! Cost is $105 with club discount! Just write Mankato Multisport club on your entry form.

A friend from Owatonna has a RAGNAR team that's down one runner (not sure what happened) and are desperate to find a sub. I'm tied up with Red Cross & a Circles to Squares gig and can't be of assistance - bummer! Are you able to help get the word out?

Duluth Trail Fest! Two days of Duluth's best trail running!
Race 1 - Park Point Beach 5K - Saturday 8/27/2011: Park Point Beach 5K. Race day registration/pickup by beach house from 8-9:15. Race starts at 10:00 AM next to airport at the end of Park Point. Plan enough time in case you have to wait for the lift bridge. Awards for top 3 males and females not competing in the 3 race division immediately following race (Those doing all three races are scored and will receive overall division awards after Sunday’s race).
Race 2 - Chester Tester Hill Challenge 5K - Saturday 8/27/2011: Chester Tester Hill Challenge (5K). Race day registration/pickup at the chalet from 4:00-5:00. Race starts at 5:30 at the chalet, circumnavigates the Chester Park trail system including going up the famous Quadrupeds Hill (on hands and feet!). This is one for the story books! Awards for top 3 males and females not competing in the 3 race division immediately following race (Those doing all three races are scored and will receive overall division awards after Sunday’s race).
Race 3 - Superior Hiking Trail 15K - Sunday 8/28/2011: Superior Hiking Trail (SHT) 15K. Race day registration/pickup at the Duluth zoo parking lot from 8:30-9:30. Race starts at 10:00 AM. From registration/pickup, athletes will be bused to the race start at the 123rd Ave road crossing (Ely's Peak lot). The SHT 15K is noted by past athletes as the most beautiful race in the Midwest. Awards for top 3 males and females not competing in the 3 race division and awards for those doing all three races after the race.
